Lottery Luck Lands in Gilbert: Local Stores Sell Winning Powerball Tickets
Gilbert has emerged as a lucky hotspot in the latest Powerball drawing, with two tickets purchased in the town striking significant wins. Arizona Lottery has confirmed that a ticket worth $150,000 was sold at a local Walmart on Power Road, and another ticket, valued at $50,000, found its buyer at a Circle K also on Power Road.
While the grand prize of nearly $1.33 billion was claimed by a ticket from Oregon, making it the fourth-largest jackpot in Powerball history, Gilbert's winners are part of the excitement with their substantial prizes.
The winning numbers for Saturday's draw were 44, 27, 52, 22, 69, with the Powerball number being 9.
Gilbert’s Spirit Mountain Healing Services: Where Horses Heal Human Hearts
Michelle Goss is the heart behind Spirit Mountain Healing Services, a Gilbert-based nonprofit where horses help humans heal.
With over three decades of experience in equine therapy and a rich educational background in equine science and counseling, Goss offers a unique form of therapy that involves no riding, but a profound interaction with horses on the ground.
Her work is grounded in the belief that horses, with their sensitive nature, can mirror human emotions, offering insights into our internal states. At Spirit Mountain Healing Services, clients engage in equine-assisted learning and therapy to discover and address their life's stressors, learning to live more authentically.
Goss's own journey, from overcoming personal challenges to becoming a beacon of hope for over 4,100 clients, underscores the transformative power of her work. Through her nonprofit, Goss not only aids individuals in their healing journey but also enriches the local community by sharing the therapeutic wonders of equine interaction.

A Day of Dogs and Delights: Gilbert Community Invited to Adopt and Shop at Farmers Market Event
Volunteers from Rachel's Rescue in Gilbert are gearing up to bring a delightful assortment of 10-12 puppies and young dogs to the Sunland Village East Farmers Market on April 10, offering the community an opportunity to meet, greet, and potentially adopt a new furry friend.
The event, hosted by the Village Rovers Dog Club, takes place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the auditorium parking lot at 2145 S. Farnsworth Drive, and promises a vibrant atmosphere filled with the joy of potential pet adoptions.
Alongside the adoption opportunity, the farmers market will showcase an array of local goods ranging from fresh produce and food trucks to handmade items like soaps and bakery products. Visitors can also explore body-care products, spice blends, coffee, jewelry, jelly, and CBD wellness products, all accompanied by music, making for a holistic community experience.
