Join the ‘All FORE the Animals’ Golf Tournament to Support Friends for Life Sanctuary
The "All FORE the Animals" golf tournament fundraiser, sponsored by Sparkle dog grooming salon, is slated for April 27 at Superstition Springs Golf Club, benefiting Friends for Life Animal Sanctuary.
This annual event features a tournament-style golf game designed for teams of four, alongside a host of contests and activities. Entry fees include golfing essentials and an awards lunch, with various contests such as closest to the pin, longest drive, and a lucrative "Shoot Out" hole-in-one challenge with a $10,000 prize.
Sparkle's partnership with Friends for Life underscores a shared commitment to animal welfare, with proceeds aiding the sanctuary's mission to rescue and care for stray animals.

Revitalized and Reopened: AAWL Chandler Takes on the Challenge of Falling Dog Adoptions
The Arizona Animal Welfare League (AAWL) in Chandler has recently undergone renovations and reopened, a timely development given the current downturn in dog adoptions contrasted with an increase in cat adoptions.
The no-kill shelter, facing challenges from inflation and a nationwide trend of reduced dog adoptions, is actively seeking homes for over 60 dogs.
The Chandler facility's upgrade, which cost over $100,000 with contributions from PetSmart Charities and the community, has revitalized the space, making it more inviting and safer.
AAWL continues to support animal adoption through low-cost veterinary services, addressing the financial barriers that potential pet owners face.
