Katey McPherson, a recent resident of Queen Creek, described the impact of the deaths as a "perfect storm of collective trauma" in the region. Despite concerns from commissioners about potential abuse by multifamily developers, a modified motion requiring conditional use permits for residential projects' parking reduction requests was approved.
