Neighbors Revolt as Bottled Blonde Threatens Gilbert's Family-Friendly Vibe!

Developer of Bottled Blonde addresses concerns about noise, queuing, and operation in Gilbert's Heritage District. Land owner Wags Capital has made design changes, noise mitigation improvements, and is considering relocating a 104-year-old building that housed Bergies coffee shop.

While some residents and business owners are concerned about the establishment's impact on the district's character and safety, Wags Capital believes it will enhance the area's nightlife and is committed to addressing concerns.

A petition opposing Bottled Blonde's arrival has garnered thousands of signatures, but construction is still expected to begin in May 2024, with an opening planned for late summer 2025.

Brave 9-Year-Old Faces Rare Cancer with a Smile, Dreams of Swimming with Dolphins

Brylee Freeman, a 9-year-old girl, loves sports and dreamed of becoming a discus thrower like her idol. However, her life took a heartbreaking turn when she was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma, a rare bone and soft tissue cancer.

She began chemotherapy treatments in July, and despite the challenges, her family remains by her side. Her father, Ryan Freeman, who coaches a football team, continues his coaching duties while caring for Brylee, who spends much of her time in the hospital.

The family remains hopeful as they face her upcoming procedure and more chemotherapy. Brylee's strength has inspired her community, and they are rallying behind her to make her dream of swimming with dolphins in Hawaii come true.

Purple Power: Picazzo’s Supports Rett Syndrome Research in October

Picazzo’s Healthy Italian Kitchen is launching the "Raising for Rett" campaign throughout October in support of Rett Syndrome Awareness Month.

The campaign aims to raise both funds and awareness for Rett Syndrome, a rare condition. Picazzo's will donate $1 for every dessert sold at its various locations. They will also use purple linens and sell Rett Syndrome bracelets.

Information about the syndrome will be available for customers. Donations can be made directly to the campaign online.

Injury Nightmare: Budda Baker's Football Future in Jeopardy?

Well folks, it's not all sunshine and rainbows in the land of the Arizona Cardinals. Star safety Budda Baker has found himself in the dreaded injured reserve zone due to a pesky hamstring injury. You know, the kind of thing that can really cramp your style on the football field.

Now, before you go all "woe is me" on poor Budda, fear not! Coach Jonathan Gannon assures us that he'll be back in action before you can say "touchdown." Gannon even went on to clarify that Budda's hamstring didn't decide to part ways with the rest of his leg, which is a relief because I've heard that's generally not a good thing.

In case you missed it, Budda had a bit of a standoff with the Cardinals during OTAs and minicamp. He was holding out for a trade or a shiny new contract, but neither came his way in April. However, the football gods smiled upon him during training camp. They gifted him a sweet $300,000 bonus in August and the chance to earn up to $2.4 million in bonuses and incentives this season. Not too shabby, Budda!

His contract even had this nifty little clause that promised him $11,764 for every game he suited up for. A maximum of $200,000, mind you. It's almost like football is a lucrative business or something.

In any case, Budda signed a four-year deal back in 2020, which netted him a cool $59 million. He's locked in until the 2024 season, and his base salary of $13.1 million this season is as solid as a granite goalpost.

So, while Budda may be taking a little hiatus on the injured reserve, rest assured, he'll be back in action soon, ready to chase down quarterbacks and make big plays. Until then, let's hope his fellow Cardinals can hold down the fort without him. Get well soon, Budda!
